Afrikaner destitutes need urgent help
ANC-regime wants to dump thousands of destitute Afrikaner families in the streets of Pretoria:http://bit.ly/jX0pAA - Many thousands of destitute Afrikaners need help in Pretoria
The streets of Pretoria bear all the evidence of a very serious decline. Amongst the rubbish-strewn streets many homeless white people are begging for food-handouts with their children. These working-class Afrikaner artisans – the people whose forebears founded the city of Pretoria - were forced into grinding destitution and homelessness because the ANC-regime’s laws are barring the whites from the labour market.
Employers who dare to hire these Afrikaners for their often highly-skilled artisan and Western-
technological excellence, face being targetted by the ANC regime’s army of militant inspectors who threaten to take away their businesses’ black-economic-empowerment- certificates if they don’t rid themselves of all the white faces on the shopfloors. And without a BEE-certificate no business can keep its doors open for very long. Consumers can even keep track of the steady empoverishment of the Afrikaners: their cash-register slips show the growing percentage of black labour which has gone into making each item. (picture far right). And as the percentage of black-labourers on those cash-slips rise, each percentage point upwards also represents the growing poverty and homelessness of the country’s large number of skilled Afrikaners. Temporary white contract workers don’t qualify for unemployment benefits:
The only way skilled Afrikaners now still can be hired is on a temporary year-long contract basis negotiated through labour-brokers: and when their contracts end, they don’t qualify for unemployment-benefits either, so the government unemployment statistics do not accurately reflect ‘white unemployment’. The government has recently made a new law to close this ‘loop-hole’ by barring these labour-brokers.
Afrikaners used to employ millions of blacks before 1994:
Before 1994, these Afrikaners however also were the single-largest group of employers of blacks in the country: so for every fired Afrikaner today, at least two black families also immediately lose their incomes: their maid and their gardener. And the average black household represents eight family members each… with 800,000 of the 3million Afrikaners now destitute, they represent 1,6-million black workers who also lost their jobs in Afrikaner households.
Legal Afrikaner charity targetted by ANC-council’s malicious building inspector:
Magda Stroebel, one lone Boer woman who tries to rescue these destitute Afrikaners from the streets of Pretoria and house them in her Angel at Work charity-centre at her own Daspoort smallholding, is caring for 120 families while under a state of siege: she faces heavy harassment from the ANC-run city council – which is trying to obtain a court order forcing Mrs Stroebel to remove her wendy-house structures where her legal, registered charity group ‘s volunteers help provide shelter for destitute families while trying to bring them back to good health and find jobs for them. (newscutting, right) The Freedom Front Plus leader in Pretoria, Philip van Staden, said in December last year that 5,000 destitute Afrikaners live in wendy-huts in the working-class Daspoort region of Pretoria alone – and that 2,000 of these Afrikaners are children. He demanded that the city council withdraw the law-suit as it was lodged by a black building-inspector who has since then resigned his post and can no longer be produced as a witness. Yet the ANC-council still refuses to drop the law suit and keeps postponing it.
ANC-regime wants to dump thousands of destitute Afrikaner families in the streets of Pretoria:
Basically what the ANC-regime apparently wants Magda Stroebel to do, is to dump all these helpless families back into the streets of Pretoria - where they will slowly starve to death and also are constantly facing the fears of being abused and attacked because they are whites. The city council has meanwhile offered no alternative accommodation for these white squatters – even though this is a key-requirement under the ANC’s own laws dealing with the forced-removals of squatter communities. Apparently this law only applies whenever black-squatters face forced removal, but not for whites?
Angels of Hope singled out for frivolous lawsuit by ANC-regime:
There are many millions of ‘illegal shacks’ just like Magda’s wendy-houses all over the towns of SA - including in Pretoria’s own black townships such as Mamelodi -- which are however never forcibly demolished under the orders of the municipality. However one Afrikaner woman who tries to help with the survival of her ethnic kith and kin with her legally-registered charity Angels at Work, is being hounded and harassed with a frivolous law suit by the Pretoria city council. She is being forced to waste precious resources which she could be using to help her fellow-Afrikaners in their struggle for survival.
Pictures: Reuters photographer Finnbar O’Reilly recently published a portfolio of pictures featuring the poor whites of South Africa.
Why is Magda Streubel’s charity targetted by the ANC-run city council of Pretoria? It’s almost as if the ANC-regime wants the Afrikaners to starve to death in the streets... because the city council charity organisations are also refusing to even provide the most basic survival-needs such as clean water to Afrikaner squatter camps, or to issue government-issue food-coupons to destitute Afrikaners – despite countless applications over the years by many charities such as Helpende Hand of the trade union Solidariteit.co.za. At times Afrikaner charities are even sent invitations from government-funded soup kitchens: but usually by the time the Afrikaners straggle in from long distances away to the sites in townships and fall into line, they are often told there’s no food left for them, ‘we have just run out.’
120 Afrikaner families rely on Magda Stroebel and her Angels at Work
Angels at Work in Pretoria is a centre for the enhancement and development of the destitute, says Magda: ‘We provide shelter and aim to restore their dignity from destitution, into well-adjusted and self-sufficient people. We also aim to empower them with skills to settle back into community and contribute positively to it.”
It now has 120 families in the project. “We took them from the streets, gave them accommodation, nourishment, clothing and medical services. In the program they attend courses, which restore them physically, emotionally and spiritually by the Hercules community. Angels at Work project wants to uplift, develop and empower people to have a positive self-esteem and confidence to become socially included members of their communities. There are a few greater joys in life than to see a person restored, healed and with self-esteem walking proudly back into the community,’ she said.
