Criminal Admiral teaches youth about ethics and morals

Khanyisile Litchfield-Tshabalala
By Mike Smith
5th of January 2012

In 2004 liberals all over the world and especially the feminists were drooling all over Khanyisile Litchfield-Tshabalala when she became South Africa’s first female Admiral in the Navy.

A women just doesn’t get appointed like that overnight. She must have rendered some services during the 1980’s when she was an ANC commander at the Quatro training camp in Angola where the ANC tortured raped and killed their own people. Word is that she was the communist mattress for the ANC top brass at Quatro.
Be it as it may, it did not take long for her true low class colours to come out. She slapped a navy guard who wanted to search her vehicle, she defrauded the state by fraudulently claiming for a stolen laptop worth R15,000 that was not stolen at all and in Durban she claimed for a stay in a guest house that she never stayed in.
This is a woman who apparently has a masters degree in criminology.
After being convicted of fraud by a military court, she resigned, but withdrew her resignation to rather take a more lucrative golden handshake. She eventually left the Navy in 2008 in disgrace.

But she soon got another job as a “reservist” in the Department of Defence in Pretoria in 2010. This is in full contradiction of the law that states that no person appointed in a military reservist position should have a criminal record.
As we know. There are laws for the rest of us in SA and then there are laws for the ANC, who are actually above the law or a law onto themselves.
Now the Beeld Newspaper reported on 3rd of January 2012 that the darling of the feminists with her criminal record has been appointed as chief of the SANDF’s project to teach morals and ethics to younger citizens.
The report states that amongst other things, she teaches the youth discipline, not to commit crime and how to be a good role model.

With a degree in criminology and being a criminal herself, I am sure she has a lot to teach the youth about crime...or how not to get caught doing it.

Personally I cannot think of a worse role model for SA’s youth than Khanyisile Litchfield-Tshabalala, but this is the reality of the role models and leaders of the ANC government...

Criminals in charge as politicians

Criminals in charge of the Defence Force

Criminals in charge of the police

...and people ask why it is going so bad with South Africa.

  2. Howzit Howzit!

Looks like you just got told off by a young girl whose truth is objective and unobscured, unlike most sources and journalists, that's if you are one.
Being able to blog does not make you a choice grade journalist you know.

Before one disseminates such a demeaning and outright disrespectful blog, ask yourself several questions before passing subjective and ignorant social commentary like the one above.... wait, you probably wouldn't know anything about respect or objectivity, because your name is Mike Smith and not Sipho Khumalo.

As a "journalist or blogger or what ever you call yourself", you should know that there are two sides to any story and what you have given us clearly shows where you stand.

For all we know, you could be one of the RSA Caucasians that sat there doing nothing during Apartheid, enjoying the spoils of a nation's anguish.
You give a bad name to the rest of us whites who are actually doing something about our situation.
Now that the tables have turned, it seem like all you can do is moan and complain about how bad RSA is.

Life is short boet! Find a better pastime, you will not regret it.

  4. A top naval officer who resigned under a cloud more than a year ago after being convicted of fraud and assault is back in the defence force in a senior position.

Khanyisile Litchfield-Tshabalala, the first woman to attain the rank of rear admiral, has been working in the defence secretariat of the SANDF as a reservist since August this year.

She resigned in 2008 after being convicted in the Thaba Tshwane Military Court on charges of fraud and assault after claiming back a laptop from the defence force, which she had fraudulently claimed had been stolen. She also assaulted a subordinate who wanted to search her vehicle at a medal parade in Pretoria.

She was sentenced to a R6000 fine and R15000 was docked from her salary for the money claimed on the laptop.

However, she was "called up" as a reservist in the Defence Secretariat in August.

This is despite Reserve Force regulations, published in the Government Gazette by Minister of Defence and Military Veterans Lindiwe Sisulu in July last year, that nobody with a criminal record can enrol as a reservist.

Reserve force members must also obtain the required security clearance applicable to their rank.

When The Times contacted the Department of Defence in Pretoria last Friday and asked to speak to Litchfield-Tshabalala at the secretariat, an official said she was "not in", but said she would be back at work on Monday.

Repeated calls to the number given as Litchfield-Tshabalala's direct line were not answered.

Department of Defence spokesman Sam Mkhwanazi yesterday confirmed that Litchfield-Tshabalala has been "called up as part of several Reserve Force Members similarly appointed to assist with short-term administrative activities and projects".

The rank referred to in correspondence was that of a senior, "Rear Admiral (Junior Grade)".

The Times has been unable to establish the veracity of rumours that Litchfield-Tshabalala is being lined up for a permanent position.

Mkhwanazi said her call-up was in line with a "mechanism used from time to time when there is a need for temporary interventions".

Litchfield-Tshabalala, who is a former commander of Umkhonto weSizwe in Angola, was appointed as the navy's first female admiral in 2004, and subsequently made director of transformation.

She was the pride of the SANDF when she was honoured as one of Rapport/City Press's top 10 Women of the Year in 2007.

Litchfield-Tshabalala reported her R15000 laptop stolen to military police after a seminar in Johannesburg.

Beeld reported that several laptops were stolen during a lunch break at the conference, but Litchfield-Tshabalala told delegates she was glad she had not brought hers.

Mkhwanazi told The Times: "there is no basis why Rear Admiral Litchfield-Tshabalala may not be called for duty as she left the SANDF voluntarily and subsequently enrolled as a Reserve Force member".

He said she was enrolled in the Reserve Force on January 1 this year, but only started "effective duty" on August 2. This was after publication of the Reserve Force regulations.

The department of defence and military veterans did not respond to questions about the regulations by late yesterday.

The DA's spokesman on defence, David Maynier, said her appointment was "completely inconsistent with the values of the defence force".

Sisulu's spokesman, Ndivhuwo Mabaya, said the ministry "does not comment on operational issues of the SANDF".

When The Times contacted the department of defence again yesterday, a receptionist said she did not have a listing for Litchfield-Tshabalala.
